Our Story

"Addiction is a family disease. One person may use, but the whole family suffers."

How it started...

For CEO Lou Scotto, addiction is a story he and his family know all too well.

While Lou himself never struggled with the disease, his children have. To watch your children struggle with a disease so cruel and unrelenting is every parent's worst nightmare.

When his daughter was just 12 years old she had her first overdose. His son, a war veteran, had too fallen into the clutches of addiction as a means to cope with his PTSD from serving in Iraq.

Having lost one of his daughters in a car crash years prior, losing another child was unthinkable.

He and his wife did everything they could over the next decade to try to understand and help those they loved who struggled.

Rehabs, treatment centers, detoxes, and everything else you could think of...

What changed everything...

As someone who struggled since childhood, Maggie, Lou's daughter, felt it was impossible to see the other side of addiction - that was until she found holistic healing.

When she discovered the power of Yoga, breath-work, spirituality, and meditation - everything changed.

Through her sobriety journey, she found meaning and purpose. She knew that the mind-body-spirit approach could change lives the same way it changed hers.

She traveled to India alone and studied at an Ashram under a Yoga Guru, then got certified in Reiki and Sound Healing.

Alongside her integrated healing approach and six years working in the addiction industry, Maggie has also pursued an academic education in behavioral health and human services with a concentration of mental health.

Where we are now.

When you are able to see the other side of addiction, you can't help but want to pull everyone you can out of that darkness.

In 2024, Lou and Maggie opened The Hope Ranch.

A combined effort of Lou's business management skills from decades of entrepreneurship and Maggie's understanding of addiction both personally and within her treatment work.

Other members of their family have also come together to help bring their dream to life. From building horse stables, to designing the website, the people who love Lou and Maggie, and believe in their mission, have come together to help them with their vision.

Lou and Maggie have created a vision for a place that others could call home during their toughest moment.

A place where those who are caring for you know exactly what you've been through.

A place where hope is alive.

Our programs include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness CBT, Introspection Group Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Behavioral Activation Therapy, Body-Centered Therapy, and Sound Healing.

Additionally, we incorporate music, art, and different types of somatic therapies to support healing. All therapies are delivered within a trauma-sensitive framework, addressing addiction's complexities and promoting recovery across the mind, body, and spirit.

Honoring All Spiritual Paths

We honor and embrace all spiritual paths, offering a welcoming environment for individuals of every faith.

As a faith-based facility, we provide a space where clients can explore and connect with their own spirituality, whatever that may look like.

Our program encourages individuals to discover what is truly meaningful and sacred in their lives, supporting them in recognizing the inherent value and sanctity of their personal journey.

We believe that healing is not only about physical and emotional recovery, but also about nurturing the spiritual aspect of the self.

Our Vision

Our vision is to stand apart from traditional treatment centers by creating a lasting impact that reconnects individuals with their humanity.

Our goal is to build a sustainable, dynamic environment where clients can engage with animals, stay active through fitness and boxing, and experience therapeutic practices like saunas and cold plunges.

We are committed to constant evolution, driven by a passion to help those still struggling. This is where healing begins, with the hope that it lasts a lifetime.

We’re here for the long haul, dedicated to creating transformative change for each individual who walks through our doors.
